Raul Logrono, Maintenance Manager at Moderna Alimentos
What is your job title and location?
Maintenance Manager at Planta Cajabamba.
How long have you been employed with SOTG?
Since January 9th, 1995.
What is your history/career path prior to SOTG?
I worked as a Public Servant in the National Institute of Statistics and Census (INEC). Additionally, thanks to my qualification as System Programming Technician, I delivered services to private clients in electrical and control system installations.
My team and I are committed to overseeing and guaranteeing the maximum reliability, availability and security of all plant installations, equipment and systems through the efficient use of resources to achieve optimum results.
What do you enjoy most about working for SOTG?
The thing I enjoy the most about working for Moderna Alimentos is that it is more than just a company. It’s a place where you can grow, where you can develop yourself both professionally and personally, where your work is valued, and you are motivated to become better every day. Moderna strives to ensure that its personnel feel good so that the plant functions well.
What’s your favorite memory about working for Seaboard?
From so many years and experiences that I have shared, it’s difficult to choose one single story; however, one of the things that stands out the most is when I had the opportunity to go and work in the Plants in Manta and Quito. These experiences were very enriching due to the warmth of the people, the support and the trust given in undertaking the planned activities.
What important values do you think SOTG delivers on?
At Moderna Alimentos we practice honestly, trust, assertiveness, transparency, respect, empowerment and humility on a day to day basis in the tasks that we undertake; these are part of our work culture.
What surprised you most about the job or its location?
The thing that surprised me the most is the difference compared to other companies. At Moderna Alimentos, staff well-being and equal opportunities prevail. As part of its sustainability strategy, the company has Corporate Responsibility Programs, in which, through volunteering activities, we are able to contribute selflessly to improving the quality of life for those people who need it the most. This is something that inspires me, which fulfills me; there are exceptional moments and marvelous experiences that allow us the opportunity to better ourselves.
How do you spend your free time?
In my free time, I like to learn new things, share my experiences and help other people in need and the community, which I belong. Ultimately, I enjoy going for walks and capturing the cultural wealth of our country, the diversity of its people and the variety in nature with photography.
What is your hidden talent? Or something most people don’t know about you?
The majority of people know what I am like; I always try to share my skills and talents with others to see what I can help with. I like sharing my knowledge with those who need it.
