Seaboard’s second vessel, the African HHB, flag ship of the new fleet, was delivered on November 05th 2015. The vessel sailed on her maiden voyage from the shipyard on November 17th bound initially for Hong Kong for bunkers.

The African HHB, the second vessel in a series of four was purposely designed to be fuel and energy efficient, as well as being shallow draft and highly maneuverable. This new design makes it especially suitable for West African ports.  The new vessels are capable of trading worldwide and are certified to carry a wide range of general and bulk cargoes, including dangerous cargoes. They are also eminently suitable for Seaboards grain trade. Two additional sister vessels, African Kalmia and African Magnolia are currently under construction and expected to be delivered in January 2016.
